For a game that employs tactile interaction as its mechanic, Franz: Interactive Story does have an issue with the gyro not working as intended, leaving players unable to perform certain actions.

When interacting with the titular entity in Franz: Interactive Story, players can express their love and affection toward her by lightly touching the screen or catering to her desires. However, players must be aware that Franz is an emotionally manipulative entity. Whether you choose to go with the flow or ignore her all boils down to you, so you must be ready to bear the consequences of your actions.

Interestingly, Franz is capable of locking you out of the app, making your virtual relationship with the character more unsettling. As expected, she won’t be happy if you open the game without waiting for her go signal. Moreover, Franz also sends notifications, urging you to come back. You can, of course, enter the app right away and attend to her needs. 

If you’re too busy and can’t play at any given moment, Franz will not be that delighted to see you as soon as you enter the game. Apart from tactile interactions, you can solve word puzzles to communicate with Franz. Similar to real-life relationships, words have an impact. In the game, even a misunderstanding with the entity can have repercussions on your relationship.

While the player has control over their relationship with Franz, they have to be mindful of the potential repercussions of their decisions—be it holding off opening the game after the entity has sent notifications, or resisting the temptation to enter the app after being locked out.
